The NITRO-X Shoot-Out & Masters Series

Preamble for the 2010 series:

The Series is divided into two parts.

Part 1 “Shoot-Out” is a series hosted by various clubs in various States. Each Club will hold 4 equally spaced rounds with drivers accumulating points. All drivers from within their domicile state can accumulate points. Drivers from out of state can also compete but no points will be awarded.

After the 4th round each STATE will hold a Mini Final where drivers will compete to win the Grand Club Prize in both Buggy and Truggy. To avoid a conflict of interest and breach of contract, ONLY a NON ENGINE SPONSORED driver that has accumulated the highest points after the Mini Final will be awarded with an Alpha .21 Pro 85-2 – 7 Port Turbo racing Engine. The regular club entry fees will apply to all 2010 events. The rules of the MASTERS will apply to the SHOOTOUT as well.

To award a club in a STATE the position of Mini Final host will be the sponsor’s choice or in sequence of joining the series in that state BUT no club will hold consecutive events unless there is only on club per state.
A maximum of 6 clubs per state will be allowed for the 2010 series
Part 2 is the Masters – this is where the real action takes place. Drivers that have legitimate points on the board in any state will qualify to compete for the economy class airline ticket to attend a major event in Malaysia in 2011. Both Buggy and Truggy qualify for this event. The Club hosting the Masters event will rotate in an order of  joining the series, the first club in each new state to join will have the option to hold the mini Final. The 2010 Masters will be held in Shepparton and the 2011 at Liverpool NSW as this is their order of joining. As new clubs in states join so the award will move to the first club in that state to join.

Each state* hosting a meeting [each and every state] (Shootout and Masters) will be given the following, to be split amongst the hosting clubs in equal portions as defined below per event**:
36 x 1 Litre Bottles of Nitro-X 25% SSS Racing Fuel
20 x 2.5 Litre Bottles of Nitro-X 25% SSS Racing Fuel
20 x 4 Litre Bottles of Nitro-X 25% SSS Racing Fuel
The club can dispose of this fuel through raffles during various club events to enhance the coffers of the club. A 4 litre bottle to go to the winner, a 2.5 litre bottle to 2nd place and a 1 litre bottle to third place in each class, Buggy and Truggy.
**Therefore the each event will have 1 x 4 litre bottle, 1 x 2.5 litre bottle and 1 x 1 litre bottle as prizes- 1st, 2nd and 3rd per class Buggy and Truggy PLUS the balance split evenly amongst the competing clubs in the state to make up the total to be used as raffle prizes. Where there is a difference in standard packing – like in 1 litre bottles – the club holding the mini Final will have the benefit of this overflow to be raffled.
*The amounts will be increased to accommodate more clubs per state as the popularity of the series increase.
Please NOTE: These events are normally run as a club day. If clubs wish to run the event as a dedicated day then this choice is up to the club.

EXCEPTIONS:
Due to the different format of racing in Darwin we are evaluating the NT State to fall within their standard point system which has been instituted a number of years ago and is what the drivers there are familiar with. Unless we compromise on this we will have to exclude the NT and deprive drivers there from the series. However- NT Home State drivers coming South will have to comply with the rules of the series as specified here under. For further information contact tony@ocrpitshop.com.au and www.ocrraceway.com  2009 series awarded Matt Griffin in Buggy and Ron Maya in Truggy. Well done guys- you deserved your title.
