Castlemaine RC Car Club  hosted the first round of the The NITRO-X Masters  on March 2nd.  This is a race series which will boost the profile and public awareness of 1/8th buggy racing and also give clubs a big shot in the arm through increased patronage.  Click here for further details, rules and results.

Check the NEWS page for the latest developments at the club.  We are now holding off-road race meetings as well as our traditional on-road races.  Currently we have full fields of Nitro Buggy and Monster Truck/Truggy.  We are getting support from 1/10th nitro drivers but are still waiting for some more electric racers to grace our track.  Come on up guys, we are sure that you would love it up here.

The Castlemaine Radio Controlled Car Club Inc. was formed in 2001 and is active in promoting the sport by holding monthly race meetings and participating in community displays and demonstrations.

The club's primarily focus is having fun, while racing 1/10th scale nitro and electric touring cars and now 1/8th Off-road Buggies, Truggies and Monster trucks.  The family friendly, relaxed atmosphere at the club has seen it grow steadily, attracting members from Castlemaine and surrounding districts.

On on-road race days, the on-road track is laid out on the bitumen Netball courts at the Wesley Hill Recreation Reserve.  This area features 4 Netball/Tennis courts, and provides heaps of space for our big, fast track layouts.

Off-road is raced on our new clay track at the rear of the Rec Reserve, with access via Railway Avenue (next street towards Castlemaine from the netball courts).

When we race, we use Alycat software and AMB transponders to time and control the race meeting.  This software helps the meeting run smoothly, and quickly and accurately calculates and prints the results at the end of the day

Club Membership is encouraged and everybody is welcome to join.  It is only through strong membership that the club can continue to grow and through a display of strong membership, the club may be able to enlist the assistance of local and state government in future developments and improvements to the facilities.

Download and print a membership application HERE, and mail to the club address on the Contact page.

Our calendar for the year has been set. Please check the calendar before leaving home, in case of changes of date or venue in the case of Mothers Day or Bathurst, for example.  The Race Dates page features a link to the weather radar, so you can even check for rain before you leave home.

Racers from other clubs, new members and spectators, are always welcome to come and join in the fun at Castlemaine.

Please check the News page regularly for all the up to date info.
